Working in the Cold
Sky Clean has been in operation since 2000 and over the years we have developed many tricks to stay warm and work with water. (Hint, we use a lot of Gore-Tex®.) Sky Clean stays in full operation throughout the winter. Any temperature about 32 degrees is workable. Sub-freezing temperatures can be slightly more prohibitive. Temperatures below 32 degrees are still very workable when it is a sunny day without wind. Under those conditions, the surfaces that we are cleaning are often well above 32 degrees.
But even if the conditions are poor and the temperature is quite low, we can still find ways to get the job done. In the winter of 2013, we worked in such cold temperatures that the cleaning solution was freezing on the inside of the windows as they were being cleaned. But the client needed the windows cleaned that day. So our Sky Clean crew members used razor blades to scrape the frozen windows leaving them pristine and clean!
So don’t let the cold temperatures stop you from having your windows cleaned. During the dark days of winter, it is a good time to have the curtains pulled back and let in as much light as possible. It is our pleasure to provide you with clean windows – all year round!
